A Pumpkin Carving Birthday

Dan turned the big 34 today!  We celebrated pretty low-key this year.  He opened a few presents when he got home from work.  The kids all made him cute cards.DSC_1194-1DSC_1195-2DSC_1198-3

Dan’s parents sent him a nice shirt and sweater.  Thanks, guys!DSC_1200-5

We got him a Giants hat.  We were watching an exciting World Series game tonight as well!  Go Giants!DSC_1201-6

Boy, do these kids sure love their daddy.  And so do I!  Happy Birthday, Dan!!DSC_1202-7

Soccer

Today was Annie’s last game of this season.  This was her awesome little team – the Lightning Strikers!DSC_0900-8

Dan, who had to work today, and has only been able to go to one of her games, was giving her a little pep talk last night at bedtime.

Dan: “Annie, score a goal tomorrow so we can go to Yogurt Beach!”  (Yes, we bribe:)  But then he quickly added, “But we’ll still love you the same if you don’t score a goal, because we know you tried your hardest.”

Leah, from her bed across the room: “But if you DO score a goal, we’ll love you even more!”

Well, I’m not sure if her motivator was Yogurt Beach or more love, but she did in fact score her goal!  Right after I took this picture.  She got passed the ball, and kicked it in!DSC_0877-1

Thumbs up for the camera!  Way to go Annie! DSC_0879-1

Half Time.  I love how they huddle in the shade of their sign.DSC_0883-2DSC_0887-3DSC_0891-4

Annie’s team ended up winning 9-1.  This is how every game was.  They had such a good team, and went undefeated for the season.  Way to go Strikers!DSC_0896-5DSC_0897-6DSC_0898-7

Annie’s team last year also won every game, so she is so far undefeated in her little 2 year soccer career!  We’ll see how long that can last:)
