Haircuts

It was definitely time for these little girls to get their haircut! Just check out these before pictures:So today we took the girls to Cookie Cutters, a place that specializes in kids' haircuts. They really know how to do it there . . . . . Leah chose to sit on the horsie and they both got to watch Barbie movies while they got their hair cut! Even with all these fun distractions, Leah was still a little nervous:And I was a little nervous while I watched a good 6 inches of her hair fall to the ground. She did great, and I love her new look!

In other news: Dan's last day of school was today! He got home at 2:30, with the great feeling of being done. Tomorrow is graduation, so stay tuned for pictures!

Our Green Dinner

Happy St. Patrick's Day!! This year we had a green dinner to celebrate (a copied idea from many I know). I said to Annie like a month before, "We should have a green dinner for St. Patrick's Day this year." "What's a green dinner, Mom? Oh, like everything we eat is green?" She caught on quick, loved the idea and loved helping me prepare the menu . . . . although her menu was long and included many more foods we didn't make. She's a little planner:) And once I say something to Annie, she won't let me forget about it! So, we did a pesto chicken pasta dish, green jello, broccoli, and lime sherbet punch for drinks (just a scoop of lime sherbet with sprite poured on top). Fun and delicious!

Dan's Research Conference in DC

The third year residents in my program presented our research at the Dental Research Conference in Washington, DC. We were only there a day and a half, but we managed to spend very little time at the conference. We spent much of the day wandering around the sites and museums in the city, and later mapped out our walking route at 14 miles. Here are a few pictures from the day.


Nathan has been busy planning the building of his ortho office in Denver and was on the phone with "his people" all day. For a few pictures, it was all he could do to pull the phone away from his ear for the picture while his designer talked on (the first picture above), other times he just kept on talking (two pictures above). Here he is above enjoying the art at the National Gallery of Art.
