Tonight we went on a group Valentine's date to the Fish Market, a seafood restaurant here in Columbus that Dan has been to a few times for school, but I've never been. It's been on my list of restaurants I still need to try. It was sooo good. We went with the Burnetts, the Elmores, and the Teeples. We just feel like our time in Ohio is running out, and we want to do as much as we can with our friends before we leave! So, thanks you guys for sharing your romantic evening with us:)
I love girls nights, so when Kristie told me she wanted to host one for my 30th birthday, I couldn't say no! I just love all these women, and feel so blessed to be surrounded by such amazing, talented, and fun people. Thank you so much to all who came! I felt special and loved. And it's so nice to know that just because I'm 30, it doesn't mean I can't get a little crazy now and then with my friends! haha . . . . I think the real craziness began when Heather W. asked Debbie to teach her how to do a body roll, and upon realizing Heather had some mad dance skills herself, everyone wanted a dance off! so funny. It was a great night!

This past weekend we got A LOT of snow. I think we got at least 15 inches . . . . I'm not quite sure on the total. I was kind of hoping for at least one more good snowfall before we moved, because most likely we will move to a place where it doesn't snow. So, might as well experience it while we're here in Ohio! Plus, the girls,especially Annie, LOVE the snow. If it's snowing in the morning when Annie wakes up, she runs into our room yelling, "It's snowing!!!" And then she begs to go out and play in it. She asked me the other day if it ever snows in California. Nope, sorry Annie. But then she quickly remembered that California has beaches, and I could see her little mind weighing the options. I think the beaches are going to win out:) But who knows where we're going to end up, so I shouldn't really be saying anything. Anyway, back to the snow . . . . here is a view of our street. It will take a long time for it all to melt. 
I took these pictures on Friday (February 5th) while it was still snowing out. Dan came home a few hours early and preschool was cancelled for Annie, so they had fun playing and shoveling the driveway. And trying to catch snowflakes on their tongues.
They love it when Dan pulls them around on the sled!

I don't know, but it looks pretty miserable to me!

Holidays with these little girls are so much fun. They just get so into every aspect of each holiday. So, it's fun to make a big deal out of them. They loved decorating the basement door with cut out paper hearts for FHE one night. They loved helping me decorate the house with our measly 3 Valentine's Day decorations. When I got them out Annie asked me, "This is all we have?" Yes, Annie, this is it. So, I wasn't surprised when the girls got me an adorable set of Valentine's bowls, and some Valentine's socks for my birthday (Dan said they picked them out all by themselves. They also picked out a silver bracelet that Annie was crying about when Dan was headed to the checkout without it. So, they went back and got it for me. So cute.) They loved looking at all the Valentine's cards Annie got at her preschool class party. They loved opening the big Valentine's Day package that G-ma sent them. They loved carrying around their Valentine's pez dispensers everywhere. They loved wearing their new Valentine's Day skirts and hair accessories to church. And they loved our traditional treasure hunt on Valentine's Day morning where they have to find heart shaped clues that leads them to their Valentine's gifts and balloons. 
These girls are just so easy to love and we feel so blessed to have them in our life. We feel so lucky that they are actually ours! We love you Annie & Leah! You will forever be our sweet little Valentines. Love, Mommy and Daddy.
