We loved being in our new house for Easter this year!! So many new places where the Easter baskets could be hidden. The kids searched and found them first thing when they woke up. Then we had our Easter breakfast! Nice not having church til 1:00 on days like this. We can relax, eat a big breakfast, get ready slowly, and have plenty of time for pictures.

Disneyland!
Disneyland 2014: April 10-12. So we planned to go to Disneyland at the end of our two week Spring Break, which luckily overlapped with my family’s Spring Break week! Everyone in my Cole family made the trip, except Spencer and Ashley. We sure missed them! Mike and Beth’s family came as well and Russ and Julie’s family. My grandpa and grandma also came, and my aunt, Monica Brinton. Also, Dan’s brother, Brian, came with us!! It was so fun having him there with us! So, I think that brings our total to 39 people. So fun!!!
Kate really loved watching the parades! She is 10 months old. She loves music and dancing and clapping her hands, so it was right up her alley. What a fun age she is right now!!
Ended our first day over at California Adventure in Cars Land. Such a great first day. We were all so happily exhausted by the end of it. But so fun knowing we still have 2 days left!
Our 2nd day, Friday, we started out in California Adventure.
It was fun having Grandpa and Grandma there. They just took it slow and rested a lot, but I think they had fun.
Our celeb sighting this year was Michael Buble! We saw him by Tower of Terror. Kristen claims he said hi to her, and Julie yelled “Hi, Michael!” as an escort took him through a back gate. He turned and waved at us.
What a fun day at California Adventure!!!
Saturday, back at Disneyland. Posing for the classic traditional pictures.
My family LOVES Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. We love taking up the whole train and just screaming and cheering and laughing as loud as we can. It’s the best. James was so brave this year and loved this ride!
It was the 50th anniversary of It’s a Small World. Such a classic ride. Kate was mesmerized.
Seriously, can Dad just go with me everywhere?
Slept through the whole Minnie experience. Oh well. She probably would have been scared of Minnie anyway.
Back to California Adventure in the evening just in time for the parade.
The Radiator Springs ride in Cars Land is so fun!!
Cute little boys! We finally bought them these light up light sabers. They were thrilled!
Love all these GoPro pics from California Screamin!
At night when the kids crash. . . .
The adults play hard til midnight!
What a great trip!!! I love going to Disneyland with my family. It is so fun and we always make great memories. This year, it was The Snoozin Pirates. Hahaha. It was Saturday night, at like midnight, and Disneyland was about to close. We were all walking past Pirates of the Caribbean, and decided to run inside and see if we could get on one last ride. We made it. Perfect. The very last boat. Our whole group (or what was left of it at midnight) took up one whole boat. We were in a silly mood and as we started the ride all chimed in singing the Pirates of the Caribbean song. We quieted down to enjoy our last ride of the trip, starting to realize that we were actually quite exhausted from our 3 days of nonstop fun. Just as we were about to round the last corner of the ride, and come into view of the ride operators, I said to everyone, “Ok, everyone pretend to be asleep as we pull up!” And without a word, everyone did just that. Everyone looked completely zonked and fast asleep as the boat pulled into the unloading zone. No one even cracked a smile or a laugh. We didn’t even move after the boat had jerked to a stop. Not until the 3 workers who were standing there staring at us said, “Uh . . . .” did we all wake up and quickly unloaded the boat, trying not to bust out laughing. I’m sure it was so much funnier to us than it was to the workers, but we couldn’t help imagining their faces as they saw the last lone boat pull in with 20+ people all asleep. I wish we had a picture of the scene! Anyway, we thought it was hilarious, and once outside again, we were all laughing so hard, tears were running down our cheeks. We named the event The Snoozin Pirates, and came to the conclusion that we probably would never be able to recreate it even if we tried. We were laughing saying the conditions for it that night had just been prime. Midnight. Park closing. Last boat of the night. Other boats in front of us completely empty. Our boat completely full. Everyone was in our group and cooperated so quickly and perfectly. It was just too funny. We were joking how it could have been even funnier if we had pretended to be dead with pirate swords sticking out of us . . . . We were obviously on China Time because we thought this was all so hilarious. The climax came though when Michael finally asked what the heck we were all talking about and we realized that he had actually been asleep the whole time on the boat! So funny. Crazy laughing. More tears. Love my family. Best way to end the trip. Til next time, Disneyland!
