Easter

DSC_3944-16

Poor James was still sick on Easter.  He tried to be a good little sport though and join in on all the activities.  DSC_3891-6

Ashley and Spencer were also in town.  My girls love spending time with Ash.  DSC_3918-10

Especially when she does fun Easter crafts with them! DSC_3959-22DSC_3960-23DSC_3962-25DSC_3965-28

James’s 3rd Birthday

DSC_4203-55

The girls were off track from school from March 15 – April 15, so we decided to spend the last two weeks of break at my parents’ house.  We drove down on James’s birthday to celebrate it with my family.  But poor little guy was so sick.  He didn’t want any cake and ice cream, and we practically had to force him to open his presents.  So sad.  Especially since he was so into his birthday this year.  He had been talking about it for months. . . . always asking how much longer til his birthday, etc. Such a bummer.  You can see it in his eyes in these pictures that he was not feeling good at all.

He really wanted his own bag of skittles (above) and had been saying for a while that he wanted a pillow pet for his birthday.  Luckily we found a cute Cosmo pillow pet at the BYU bookstore when we were in Provo.  He loved Cosmo when we went to that BYU basketball game, so it was perfect.  He loves it.  DSC_4217-60DSC_4219-61

So, 2 weeks later, at my grandparents’ house, we celebrated his birthday again, so we could at least sing to him and let him blow out candles.  He was feeling much more himself this time! I love these pictures of James with my grandpa.  They developed a special little bond during the two weeks we were in California, and my grandpa just loved it.  DSC_5499DSC_5505

I just can’t believe this little boy is already 3!!  He has grown up so fast and I really don’t like it.  I just want him to stay little forever!  James, we love you so much.  What a special little joy you are to our family!

Utah Weekend

We just got back from a “Guys Ski Weekend” – which means the kids and I tag along too!  No one wants to miss out on all the fun!    Even his parents flew in for the weekend.  The kids love spending time at Molly and Foster’s house.  Here they are with cute little stuffed animals Grandma got them as an early Easter gift. New skis, finally!!  GUYSWEEKEND-8904

Then on Monday we headed down to Provo for a few days to spend some time with the Brintons.  We hit up as many of our favorite Provo activities as we could squeeze in.  Trafalga, CafĂ© Rio, shopping, BYU bookstore, Brick Oven, BYU basketball game, watching my cousins’ in-door soccer game, etc. So fun!  image

And we got to spend an evening with some of our favorite people from our Ohio days . . . . the Storeys!  Man, we’ve missed them!    DSC_9154-1DSC_9158-3DSC_9159-4DSC_9160-5DSC_9161-6DSC_9162-7DSC_9163-8

They also have two girls and a boy, all about a year younger than our kids.  DSC_9172-10

It was so fun to catch up with them!  DSC_9175-11DSC_9155-2

Haha, these pictures just crack me up!!  So glad they live in Provo, somewhere we can visit them easily:)
